President opened “Nights of Light” in the Gardens of the Palace of Belém

The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva opened the Ephemeral Luminous Installation “Nights of Light”, a project of LIKEarchitects, in the Gardens of the Palace of Belém.

This initiative was organized jointly by the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic and CTT – Correios de Portugal.

After viewing the arcs of light along the Bush Gardens, the guests climbed to the Waterfall Gardens, where a traditional Nativity Scene was on show.

Inside the Palace, in the Hall of Fountains and next to the Christmas Tree, young violinists from the Lisbon Musical Academy played Christmas musical themes.
