The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to his Bulgarian counterpart, Rosen Plevneliev, with reference to the consequences of the attempt occurred in Burgas, Bulgaria.
Following is the text of the message of condolences sent by President Cavaco Silva:
“Mister President,
I was deeply disturbed and shocked upon being advised of the horrific and cowardly attempt on a coach, in Burgas airport, carrying Israeli tourists, and from which resulted innocent and indefensible victims. We are facing an act which is an offence to the values on which our societies are based and that can only deserve our strongest condemnation and denial.
At this time of suffering and dismay, our thoughts go to the victims’ families, to whom I beg Your Excellency to convey the feelings of our regrets and solidarity.
