A Lisbon typical quarter
Celebrating the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, that this year was staged in Lisbon, the President of the Republic visited the historical Mouraria quarter, which was recently the object of a vast refurbishment plan.
Accompanied by the Lisbon Mayor, Dr. António Costa, and by members of the Organizing Committee of the Commemorations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, President Cavaco Silva traversed several areas of the quarter, and attended different fado and popular dancing performances, by local singers and inhabitants.
