The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the Family of playwright and historian Luis Francisco Rebello
Following is the text of the message of condolences sent by President Aníbal Cavaco Silva
“Upon being advised of the passing away of Luis Francisco Rebello I address my heartfelt condolences to his Family as well as to his friends.
A prominent figure in Portuguese theatre, of which he was one of the main historians, Luis Francisco Rebello also distinguished himself as a playwright, as a critic and as President of the Portuguese Society of Authors.
With his death, Portuguese culture and particularly the arts of the stage lost one of its most driving promoters.
