Touring the city on foot
Continuing his visit to the Azorean island of S. Miguel, the President of the Republic was officially received at the Gates of the City of Ponta Delgada, where he was awarded the Gold Key of the City, and addressed a speech to his hosts.
Following this ceremony, President Cavaco Silva toured some of the city streets on foot, and visited the Municipal Cultural Centre where he officially opened an exhibition dedicated to the Presidents of the Republic, organized by the Museum of the Presidency.
