Visit to Angra

President visited Museum and took a walk in the Centre of Angra do Heroísmo

Continuing his visit to the Azores, the President of the Republic visited the monument in memory of King D. Pedro IV, from which he visualized the landscape over the city of Angra do Heroísmo.

He later visited, in the Angra Museum, the exhibition “Terceira Liberal” (on the occasion of the bicentenary of the Earl of Praia), the "A Madrugada das Cagarras", facility, by Paulo Henrique Silva, and attended a brief performance of the Ensemble “Lira Açoriana” of the Regional Orchestra, in the cloisters of the Museum.

After visiting the Museum, the President took a walking tour in the centre of the city of Angra, was shown the Church of Misericórdia and looked round the recreational marina.
