At the invitation of NYSE-Euronext, the President of the Republic visited the New York Stock Exchange, met with its Board of Directors and rang the opening bell.
Received by the CEO of the New York Stock Exchange, Duncan Niederauer, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva took part in a meeting with the officers of the institution, accompanied by the Chairman of the Securities Committee, Carlos Tavares, by the President of Euronext Lisbon, Miguel Ataíde Marques, and by Henrique Granadeiro, Chairman of the Board of Portugal Telecom, a company quoted on the NYSE.
