The President of the Republic visited Iberol, in Alhandra, Vila Franca de Xira, an enterprise which since 2006 is devoted to the production of bio diesel, and was shown round the laboratories and production units.

Within the programme of his Route to Science, dedicated to clean technologies, the President of the Republic visited the Municipal East Lisbon Swimming Pool, managed by Lisbon Municipality and included in the European network of green buildings and facilities, known as "Intelligent Europe" Programme, of the European Commission.
