Display of Portuguese designers
The first campaign of the Route to Youth ended with the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, attending the Portugal Fashion display, held in Sala Tejo of the Pavilhão Atlântico.
“Seven Purposes of a Generation for Portugal”
The President of the Republic had lunch on board the vessel “Encantos do Douro” (“Douro Charms”) with a number of young entrepreneurs.
Visit to technological exhibition
On the second day of the Route to Youth, the President of the Republic visited the Porto headquarters of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), where he officially opened a technologically based business incubator which was then named “Global Portugal”.
Multi-purpose association in Guimarães
The first day of the Route to Youth ended with a visit of the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva to the Arts and Recreational Centre, in Guimarães.
Meeting in Porto
Continuing the Route to Youth, President Cavaco Silva held a meeting, in the headquarters of the Porto Academic Federation, with representatives of the Northern Academic Associations.
Projects presented to the President
In the Campo Alegre Theatre, in Porto, the President of the Republic attended a meeting with university students organized by the Porto Academic Federation.
Vineyards in Lourosa
Included in the Route to Youth, President Cavaco Silva journeyed to Quinta da Lourosa, in Sousela, County of Lousada, where he visited a wine producing operation headed by a young farmer.
Visit to innovating unit
In the beginning of a new Route, dedicated to Youth with its main topic as “Autonomy of Youth and Membership Drive”, the President of the Republic visited the dairy farm of a young farmer, the first in Portugal equipped with robotized milking. Known as Casa de Teixeira, the farm is located in Mancelos, Vila Meã, Amarante.
