Alentejo village witnessed a presidential initiative
The village of Mértola was the last stop of Campaign 1 of the Route to Heritage promoted by the President of the Republic, and dedicated to Lower Alentejo.
Route to Heritage in the district of Beja
Campaign 1 of the Route to Heritage, launched by the President of the Republic under the theme “Cultural Heritage of Lower Alentejo” continued with visits, in Beja, to the Church of Our Lady of Prazeres and to the city’s Regional Museum.
Route to Heritage launched in Lower Alentejo
In the beginning of the Campaign 1 of the Route to Heritage, the President of the Republic officially opened and visited, in the Main Church of Santiago do Cacém, the exhibition “The Pathway under the Stars – Santiago and the Pilgrimage to Compostela”, and addressed a speech alluding to the theme of the exhibition.
