Marine pollution demands control

President of the Republic with the Pollution Fighting Services
: In a visit to the Naval Dockyards, in Lisbon, the President of the Republic encountered the Pollution Fighting Services of the Directorate General of the Maritime Authority.

During the course of the encounter with the Maritime Authority, the President was provided with information concerning the importance of the actions for damage control in case of accidents, which frequently result in gross environmental losses, as well as that regarding the skills and resources of the relevant departmental services.
