The President of the Republic, on behalf of the people of Portugal and in his own personal name, addresses heartfelt condolences to the family of the actor and playwright Filipe Ferrer.
As an actor and stage manager, playwright and author, journalist and producer, Filipe Ferrer deserves the regard of all Portuguese for his career of more than 60 years, both in Portugal and abroad.
In this hour of mourning, it is with deep regret that I render my respects to a man who dedicated his whole life to art and culture.
