Message of condolences from the President of the Republic addressed to the Turkish President Abdullah Gül, over the victims of the earthquake occurred in the Province of Elazig

The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül, regarding the victims of the earthquake occurred in the province of Elazig.

Following is the text of the message:

"Mister President, Dear Friend,

Having just been advised of the tragic effects of the earthquake occurred in the Province of Elazig, I wish to address Your Excellency and the Turkish People, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our feelings of deepest regret, begging you to forward to the mourning families our sincere condolences and feelings of solidarity.
