Message of congratulations from the President of the Republic addressed to Michelle Brito for her victory in the Orange Bowl Junior International Tennis Tournament

Upon being told of your victory in the Orange Bowl Junior International Tennis Tournament, held in Florida, I want to congratulate you for the splendid level of sportsmanship shown and for the extraordinary endeavour which has characterized your career as an athlete. It is a matter of pride for all the Portuguese that you are the second youngest ever tennis player to conquer the main stage of the competition.

This victory is proof positive that dedication and perseverance in sports is the best path to success.

Please accept my congratulations and sincere wishes for your personal happiness and sports achievements.
