On the second and last day of the Route to Youth, President Cavaco Silva visited, in Outurela, Oeiras, a project of individual entrepreneurship known as “Guitar Artisans”.
At the end of the first day of the 2nd Campaign of the Route to Youth, the President of the Republic visited in Quinta do Conde, Sesimbra, the ANIME Youth Association, known as a project of intercultural education.
In Montemor-o-Novo, the President of the Republic visited the Convent of Our Lady of Saudação, where the educational project “The Space in Time”, which covers painting, music and dance studios is located.
On the first day of the 2nd Campaign of the Route to Youth, dedicated to the theme “Autonomy, Juvenile Associability: Art and Culture”, the President of the Republic travelled to Tramagal, where he visited the headquarters of the CISTUS Youth Association.
Opening of Exhibition
The President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act of the Exhibition “The Darwin Evolution”, which is open to the public from today in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon.
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva will carry out a State Visit to the Federal Republic of Germany from 3 to 6 March next, at the invitation of President Horst Köhler, and will travel to Berlin first, then to Munich, capital of Bavaria, and later to Osnabrück, in Lower Saxony.
CDS-PP received in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the officers of the Social Democrat Centre – People’s Party (CDS-PP).
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Governor of the Bank of Portugal, Dr. Vítor Constâncio.
Miguel Mendonça received in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Speaker of the Parliament of the Madeira Autonomous Region, Dr. Miguel Mendonça.
The President of the Republic sent a message to his counterpart in the People’s Republic of China, Hu Jintao, on the 30th anniversary of the onset of diplomatic relations between both countries
