Meeting in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, The Members of the Consultative Council of the Arab-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIAP) and Ambassadors from the Arab Countries, on the occasion of the Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the referred Institution.

The President of the Republic receives, in audience, the Officers of the Entrepreneurial Committee of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries - CPLP.
President’s statement
The President of the Republic announced that he has set the date of 27 September for Parliamentary elections to be held, in a statement addressed from the Palace of Belém.

Coimbra Iparque
The President of the Republic visited “Coimbra Iparque”, known as an innovatory project for the economic development of the region and, as such, capable of attracting new businesses based on knowledge, specifically in areas covering Biological Sciences and Technologies, Life and Health, Information and Multimedia Sciences and Technology, Telecommunications, Intelligent Automation and Robotics, and Transversal Projects.
“From the Palace of Belém”
The President of the Republic officially opened the exhibition named “From the Palace of Belém”, jointly organized by the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic and the Pio XII Museum, in Braga.
Inaugural act in AvePark
The President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act of the European Institute of Excellence in Engineering of Tissues and Regenerative Medicine, in the AvePark, Caldas das Taipas, where he unveiled a plaque allusive to the event.
The President of the Chinese People’s Republic, Hu Jintao, and his Wife, Liu Yongqing, will hold a State Visit to Portugal from 10 to 11 July, at the invitation of the President of the Republic.
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva were the guests of honour at a dinner hosted by the Mayor of Guimarães, held in Penha Park.
Exhibition in the Ducal Palace
After laying a wreath of flowers next to the statue of King D. Afonso Henriques, erected on the grounds of the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, the President of the Republic officially opened the Exhibition “Presidents of the Republic”. Later, in the Passos Perdidos Hall, he attended the launching ceremony of a commemorative stamp of the 900th anniversary of the birth of the first King of Portugal.
