The President of the Republic received, in audience, the President of the International Olympic Committee, Jacques Rogge.
Meeting in Lisbon
The President of the Republic attended, in Lisbon, the Opening of the V Iberian American Civic Encounter, which approaches issues concerning “Social Innovation” and is being held in parallel to the XIX Iberian American Summit which will take place in Estoril.
Empowering ceremony
The President of the Republic empowered in office the Auditor General, Judge Councillor Guilherme d’Oliveira Martins.
Prize awarded in Coimbra
The President of the Republic attended, in the Bissaya Barreto Foundation, Bencanta, Coimbra, the award ceremony of the Viegas Nascimento Prize to the Child Association, where he delivered a speech.
At the invitation of the President of the Republic, the President of the Republic of Chile, Mrs. Michelle Bachelet, will carry out a State Visit to Portugal, on 1 and 2 December next.
Meeting held in the Palace of Belém
The President of the Republic received, in the Palace of Belém, the Chairman of the Think Tank on the Future of the European Union, Felipe Gonzalez, in whose honour he hosted dinner.
Coach Museum
The President of the Republic hosted luncheon, held in the National Coach Museum, in honour of the Speakers of the Iberian American Parliaments, who gathered in Lisbon for the V Iberian American Parliamentary Forum.
Presidential address
At the closure of the 1st Campaign of the Route to the Innovatory Communities, which was held in the Entre Douro e Vouga Region, the President of the Republic decorated several personalities and institutions which distinguished themselves as innovators throughout their lives or in the exercise of their activities.
Tensai Industrial Facility
The President of the Republic visited the Estarreja Entrepreneurial Eco-park, and was received in the Tensai Portugal industrial facilities, where he witnessed the signature of a protocol covering innovation, between Aveiro University and Estarreja County Council.
Lookout point in CicloRia
Commencing the second day of the 1st Campaign of the Route to the Innovatory Communities, the President of the Republic visited, in Murtosa, the Association of Friends of the Ria and of the Barco Moliceiro (Algae Vessel) and took a walk along the Ria de Aveiro Cycle Path.
