Performance by Paulo de Carvalho
On the second day of the Programme “April 25 – Commemoration of Democracy on the I Centenary of the Republic”, organized by the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic, singer Paulo de Carvalho performed his “Doamor” concert in the Pátio dos Bichos of the Palace of Belém.
Deolinda live in Belém
In the Pátio dos Bichos of the Palace of Belém the “Deolinda” group performed a concert attended by more than 3,000 people, during which they played, for the first time, themes from their new album.
Projections on the façade of the Palace
The multimedia show "Projecting April" , with original music by Luis Cília, was presented in the Pátio das Equipagens and on the exterior façade of the Palace of Belém, as part of the Programme “April 25 – Commemoration of Democracy on the I Centenary of the Republic”.
Campo Maior Flowers in the Boxwood Garden
The President of the Republic opened, in the Palace of Belém, the Programme “April 25 – Commemoration of Democracy on the I Centenary of the Republic”, organized by the Museum of the Presidency, and includes several exhibitions and musical concerts open to the public.
Prize award ceremony
The President of the Republic attended, in the Main Hall of Caixa Geral de Depósitos Bank, in Lisbon, the award ceremony of the Literary Life Prize of the Association of Portuguese Authors (APE).
Group of students with the President
A group of students from the Mobile School – a project of distance learning for the children of itinerant professionals (fair workers or circus artistes) and other young people unable to attend school for periods in excess of three months – visited the Palace of Belém and met with the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva.
Invited by President Aníbal Cavaco Silva, the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Armando Emílio Guebuza, will hold a State Visit to Portugal, on April 29 and 30.
Performance of academic bands
The President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act, in Barreiro, of the Higher School of Technology, belonging the Setúbal Polytechnic Institute, visited the respective facilities and listened to the performance of several academic bands.
Project shown to the President
The President of the Republic visited, in the former headquarters of the Barracks of the 11th, in Setúbal, the future facilities of the Hotel and Tourism School, where he watched the presentation of the School’s project and of the investments included in the National Strategic Reference Framework for the county.
