Decorated individualities
Six individualities who distinguished themselves, whilst agents of innovation throughout their lives and in the exerecise of their activities, were decorated by the President of the Republic in Óbidos, where the 3rd Campaign of the Route to the Local Innovatory Communities, held in the North of the Western Region, was concluded.
Concert in Eduardo Brazão Theatre
In another stage of the he Route to the Local Innovatory Communities, dedicated to the North of the Western Region, the President of the Republic gave consideration, in Bombarral, to the valuation of the cultural heritage.
President in the Rainha D. Leonor Savings association
Included in the programme of the 3rd Campaign of the Route to the Local Innovatory Communities, held in the North of the Western Region, the President of the Republic visited, in Caldas da Rainha, the Holy Almshouse and the Rainha D. Leonor Savings Association, later going to the Casimiro da Silva Marques Hospital, in Bombarral.
Visit to the Arcos School Complex
In the beginning of the second day of the 3rd Campaign of the Route to the Local Innovatory Communities, the President of the Republic visited, in Óbidos, the "Bom Sucesso" real estate undertaking, included in the the “Innovatory Communities and Creative Industries", viewing some of the residences designed by the architects who took part in a collective project.
King’s Hall in the Alcobaça Monastery
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the Alcobaça Monastery, where they watched the performance of a baroque music concert and viewed the King’s Hall, the Cloisters and the monks’ refectory.
Vangest Group welcomes the President
Included in the programme of the 3rd Campaign of the Route to the Local Innovatory Communities, the President of the Republic visited the head offices of the Vangest Group, in Marinha Grande, which is dedicated to the production of dies in its GranDesign, Distrim 2 and mptool Units.
Visit to Peniche Fortress
In the beginning of the 3rd Campaign of the Route to the Local Innovatory Communities, carried out in the Northern section of the Western Region, the President of the Republic visited the Peniche Fortress, where he viewed an exhibition showing the municipal strategy for the preservation and valuation of marine resources.
Decoration ceremony
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Chairman of the European Central Bank, Jean-Claude Trichet.
José Antonio Griñán Martínez received in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the President of the Government of the Junta of Andalusia, José Antonio Griñán Martínez.
Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Executive Committee of Deloitte’s Farol Project – “Think Tank” – that made a presentation of the results of the referred project.
