President of the Republic presided at the Award Ceremony of the Millennium BCP 2010 Prize “Let’s Talk of Housing”, of the Lisbon Architectural Triennial, which was held in the Electricity Museum.

The President of the Republic received, in audience, the officers of the District of Aveiro Industrial Association.

Ambassador received in audience
The President of the Republic received, in audience, Ambassador Jorge Ryder Torres Pereira, to commit his letters credential as Portugal’s diplomatic representative in Bangkok.
Decoration Ceremony
The President of the Republic decorated, with the rank of Commander of the Military Order of Christ, Dr. Virgínia Pina, who is resigning her duties as the President’s Consultant for International Affairs, in order to take office in the Permanent Representation of Portugal with the European Union.
Master Nadir Afonso decorated
The President of the Republic opened, in the palace of Belém, the exhibition “Nadir Afonso – Absolute 2010”, and rendered public tribute to the master painter, decorating Nadir Afonso with the rank of Grand Officer of the Military Order of Sant’Iago da Espada.
Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Mayor of Peniche, Dr. António José Ferreira Sousa Correia, who presented Mrs. Cavaco Silva with a crèche made of bone lace prepared by artisans Maria Graciete Guilherme and Ida da Conceição Guilherme, who were also included in the audience the palace of Belém.
The President of the Republic enacted Parliamentary Decree No. 66/XI, that «Reduces public funding and the maximum limits of expenses in electoral campaigns », and addressed a message to Parliament concerning the same.
Having enacted, to be published as law, Parliamentary Decree No. 66/XI, that "Reduces the public funding and the maximum limits of expenditure in electoral campaigns ", I decided to address Parliament the following message as foreseen under item d) of article No. 133 of the Constitution:
Ceremony in the Estoril Casino
The President of the Republic presided, in Estoril, to the celebration of the 114th anniversary of the Portuguese Association of Accommodation, Catering and Similar Activities (AHRESP) and to the Launching of the National Campaign for the Right to Nourishment, where he made an allusive address.
