The President of the Republic met with fifty Portuguese youth leaders, on board the training ship "Sagres", on the day he was empowered for a second mandate in office.
At the start of the programme of the day of his empowerment for a second mandate, the President of the Republic earmarked the relevance of the so called Sea Agenda for Portugal, reasserting his commitment to it, by visiting the hydro oceanographic ship "Almirante Gago Coutinho", moored at the Alcântara Dock in Lisbon.
Earmarking the date of the Empowerment of Prof. Doctor Aníbal Cavaco Silva on his second mandate as President of the Republic, on 9 March, the Official Internet Site of the Presidency will be provided from that date onwards with new features, confirming it as a reference for the use of new Information and Communication Technologies within the scope of institutional communication.
Prof. Aníbal Cavaco Silva will be empowered in office for his second mandate as President of the Republic on 9 March instant, during a Solemn Ceremony to be held in Parliament at 15:30 hours.

The President of the Republic presided, in the Caparica Campus of the Faculty of Science and Technology of Lisbon New University (UNL), at the inaugural act of the Nano-Manufacturing Laboratory, housed within the Centre of Materials’ Research.
