Insignia award
The President of the Republic presided at the commemorative ceremonies of the centenary of the Pupilos do Exército (IPE) where he awarded, on parade, the insignias of the degree of Honorary Member of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator, on the Institute’s national standard.
The President of the Republic returned to Parliament, without enactment, Parliamentary Decree No. 116/XI, which approves the structural regulations of the Access Committee to Administrative Documents.

Honorary Members of the Economy Alumni
The President of the Republic attended, in Estoril, the ISEG Dinner and the Day of the Former Alumni, commemorating the centenary of the Higher Institute of Economy and Management, and was one of the seven individualities that, as former alumni, received the insignia of the Former Economy Alumni.
Centenary of IST
The President of the Republic presided at the Commemoration Ceremony of the 100th Anniversary of the Higher Technical Institute (IST), and decorated the institution with the degree of Honorary Member of the Military Order of Sant'Iago da Espada.

Cerimony in National Stadium
The President of the Republic attended, in the National Stadium, to the Portuguese Football Cup Final, and handed the trophy to the winning team Porto Football Club, who won the match with the Vitória Sport Club, of Guimarães, by 6-2.
In line with the provisions of article No. 75, §1, item a), of the Charter of the Administrative and Fiscal Courts of Justice, the President of the Republic appointed Prof. Doctor Luís Manuel da Costa Sousa da Fábrica and Dr. Vasco Jorge Valdez Ferreira Matias as members of the Supreme Council of the Administrative and Fiscal Courts of Justice.
Meeting in Belém
The President of the Republic held a meeting, in the Palace of Belém, with young farmers from all the country’s regions, representing several sectors of agricultural and forestry activities, whom he later hosted for luncheon.
Prior to the meeting, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva delivered an address to the young farmers.
