Visiting Caminha
The President of the Republic visited the County of Caminha and the town’s historic centre where he observed the refurbishment carried out and the projects for the renewals now being undertaken.
Decorated individualities with the President
The President of the Republic decorated the former Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff, General Luis Valença Pinto with the Grand Cross of the Military Order of Christ, and the former Representative of the Republic for the Azores, Judge Councillor José António Mesquita with the insignia of Grand Officer of the Military Order of Christ.

Charity competition
The President of the Republic attended, in the Vale do Lobo Ocean Golf Course, the “tee-off” of the 5th Portugal Solidarity Golf Competition. The funds collected in this event revert in favour of APATRIS 21 – Association of the Algarve Bearers of Down Syndrome.
Refurbished hospital
The President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act of the refurbishment and expansion of the Loulé Hospital, during which he delivered an address.
Contact with threatened birds
The President of the Republic visited, in Castro Verde, the Vale do Gonçalinho Environment Educational Centre, where he held meetings with farmers, environmentalists and members of local authorities.
Visit to the vineyards
The President of the Republic visited, in Ferreira do Alentejo, the Vale da Rosa Estate, the largest producer in the country of dessert grapes a substantial part of which is sold in the export markets

The President of the Republic received, in audience the National Committee for the Commemorations of the Centenary of the Republic.
