The President of the Republic received, in audience, the social partners who subscribed the Tripartite Agreement “Commitment for Growth, Competitiveness and Employment” - General Workers Trade Union (UGT), Confederation of Portuguese Farmers (CAP), Confederation of Portuguese Trade and Services (CCP), Confederation of Portuguese Entrepreneurs (CIP) and Confederation of Portuguese Tourism (CTP).

The President of the Republic presided, in the headquarters of the Champalimaud Foundation, in Lisbon, at the award ceremony of the 2012 António Champalimaud Prize for Vision, which distinguished two innovatory techniques in the vision of the retina in healthy and sick people, enabling the study of its structure.
The President of the Republic called a meeting of the Council of State in line with the second part of item e), of article No. 145 of the Constitution.
