The President of the Republic decorated the former Air Force Chief of General Staff, General José Araújo Pinheiro, with the Grand Cross of the Military Order of Christ, and the Chairman of the Central Board of the League of Combatants, Lieutenant General Joaquim Chito Rodrigues, with the Grand Cross of the Military Order of Avis.
