Following an invitation addressed by the President of the Republic of Chile, Mrs. Michelle Bachelet, the President of the Republic, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Cavaco Silva, will carry out an Official Visit to that Country, on 7 and 8 November next.
The retinue of President Cavaco Silva will include some 30 entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of institutions involved in the fostering of relations between Portugal and Chile.
During his stay in Chile, the President of the Republic will hold contacts with governmental and entrepreneurial authorities, as well as with personalities in the area of culture.
After the Official Visit, the President of the Republic will take part in the discussions of the 17th Iberian-American Summit which will be held in Santiago on 9 and 10 November.
