Auditor General’s report on the 2014 accounts of the Presidency of the Republic

The Court of the Auditor General carried out this year a Financial Audit to the accounts of the Presidency of the Republic for the year ended 31 December 2014.

Based upon the audit, the Court of the Auditor General issued a report containing a favourable opinion on the above referred accounts.

The Audit was carried out during the first half of 2015, and was closely followed by the Administrative Committee of the Presidency of the Republic.

This supervision was exercised in line with provisions contained in Portuguese legislation, which is not the case in other European countries, and it was the first time ever in the history of the Presidency of the Republic that the head of State’s support services were subject to an Audit by the Court of the Auditor General.

For the purposes of transparency, the Presidency of the Republic publishes, in its official site, the above referred Audit Report which, together with the statement of the Administrative Committee, may be viewed here (a 1.57 MB PDF file).

The Audit Report is equally available in the site of the General Secretariat of the Portuguese Presidency.

It may also be viewed in the official site of the Court of the Auditor General (a 1.57 MB PDF file).
