The President of the Republic received today, in audience, the appointed Prime Minister and agreed to the proposal of the complement of the XX Constitutional Government, comprising the following individualities:
Dr. Paulo de Sacadura Cabral Portas – Deputy Prime Minister;
Master Maria Luis Casanova Morgado Dias de Albuquerque – Minister of State and of Finance;
Dr. Rui Manuel Parente Chancerelle de Machete – Minister of State and Foreign Affairs;
Dr. José Pedro Correia de Aguiar-Branco – Minister of National Defence;
Dr. Luis Maria de Barros Marques Guedes – Minister of the Presidency and Regional Development;
Prof. Doctor João Calvão da Silva – Minister of Internal Administration;
Dr. Fernando Mimoso Negrão – Minister of Justice;
Eng. Jorge Manuel Lopes Moreira da Silva – Minister of the Environment, Land Planning and Energy;
Prof. Doctor Maria da Assunção de Oliveira Cristas Machado da Graça – Minister of Agriculture and the Sea;
Dr. Luis Pedro Russo da Mota Soares – Minister of Solidarity, Employment and Social Security;
Dr. Luis Miguel Gubert Morais Leitão – Minister of Economy;
Dr. Fernando Serra Leal da Costa – Minister of Health;
Prof. Doctor Margarida Isabel Mano Tavares Lopes Marques de Almeida – Minister of Education and Science;

The President of the Republic set the empowerment date for 30 October, at 12:00 hours, in Ajuda National Palace.
