President carries out campaign of Route to a Dynamic Economy with tribute to the footwear industry

The President of the Republic carries out, next Friday, 14 November, the 3rd journey of the Route to a Dynamic Economy, totally dedicated to the footwear industry, which will be held in the north of the country.

Within the scope of this campaign, the President of the Republic will pay a tribute to the footwear industry, during which he will decorate a number of individualities in a ceremony to be held in the Santa Marinha Pousada, in Guimarães, at 12:30 hours.

President Cavaco Silva will decorate the following individualities:

- as Grand Officer of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator

• Manuel Carlos Costa da Silva, Director General of the Portuguese Association of Producers of Footwear, Components and Leather Articles (APICCAPS)

- as Commanders of the Order of Entrepreneurial Merit, Class of Industrial Merit

• Armando Luis da Silva, entrepreneur
• Carlos Pereira de Castro, entrepreneur
• Carlos Santos, entrepreneur
• Domingos Ferreira Neto, entrepreneur
• Fernando Rodrigues Lima, entrepreneur
• Luis Onofre, entrepreneur and stylist
