Award ceremony

President of the Republic decorated Prof. Doctor Luis de Oliveira Fontoura

The President of the Republic awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit to Prof. Doctor Luis de Oliveira Fontoura.

The award of this decoration had been planned to take place within the programme of the Celebrations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities in 2013, in Elvas, but was postponed due to the poor health of the recipient. This has now been carried out in a ceremony held in the Palace of Belém.
