The President in the Whale Museum
In the continuance of his visit to the North American State of Massachusetts, the President of the Republic was guided round the New Bedford Whale Museum,where he saw the "Azores", "From New Bedford We Set Sail" and "Sperm Whale" centres, as well as the "House of the Dinghies", where a whale fishing boat built by two Portuguese was shown to him.
The President of the Republic was honoured by the Prince Henry Society, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, during a boat trip in the local bay. President Cavaco Silva received the diploma of Honorary Member of that society.
