President of the Republic empowers new members of Government

The President of the Republic accepted the proposal, presented by the Prime Minister, to accept the resignation of the Deputy Minister and Minister for Parliamentary Matters, Dr. Miguel Fernando Cassola de Miranda Relvas and of the Assistant Secretary of State for the Economy and Regional Development, Dr. António Joaquim Almeida Henriques.

At the same time, the President of the Republic accepted the proposal of the Prime Minister to appoint Dr. Luis Maria de Barros Serra Marques Guedes as Minister of the Presidency and for Parliamentary Matters, and of Prof. Doctor Luis Miguel Poiares Pessoa Maduro, as Deputy Minister and Minister for Regional Development.

The empowerment ceremony will be held on Saturday, 13 April, at 12:00 noon, in the Palace of Belém.
