Decorated individualities with the President

President decorated General Valença Pinto and Councillor José António Mesquita

The President of the Republic decorated the former Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff, General Luis Valença Pinto with the Grand Cross of the Military Order of Christ, and the former Representative of the Republic for the Azores, Judge Councillor José António Mesquita with the insignia of Grand Officer of the Military Order of Christ.

The ceremony was held in the Palace of Belém, during which President Aníbal Cavaco Silva made an address allusive to the decorated individualities.
