Portuguese Speaking Games in the Atlantic Pavilion
The President of the Republic presided at the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Portuguese Speaking Games, which was held in the Atlantic Pavilion, Park of the Nations, in Lisbon, their motto being “Union is stronger than victory”.
Organized by the Association of the Olympic Committees of the Portuguese Speaking Countries – ACOLOP, the second edition of the Portuguese Speaking Games opened with a performance featuring hundreds of skaters, gymnasts and dancers from the twelve participating countries who paraded in the enclosure.
Outstanding were the main symbols of “Lusophony” – the language, the wording and the sea -, as well as the Olympic spirit.
