Through the streets of Santarém
In the beginning of the programme of the commemorations of the National Day of Portugal, of Camões and the Portuguese Communities, which this year are being held in Santarém, the President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act, in the city’s Cathedral, of the Exhibition “Portugal 12.21 - Identity”, organized by the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic.
Later, in Largo da Piedade, he distributed copies of the illustrated work "Os Lusíadas", related by José Jorge Letria and illustrated by Terumi Moryama, to students of the Higher School of Education.
