Visit of State of the Emir of Qatar
Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani started a State Visit to Portugal, at the invitation of the President of the Republic. On arrival at the Palace of Belém, the Emir of Qatar received military honours.
After a meeting between the President of the Republic and the Emir of Qatar, both Heads of State made statements to the Media.
President Cavaco Silva later hosted a luncheon for Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, in the Palace of Belém.
