The Museum of the Presidency of the Republic will join the commemoration of the International Day for Monuments and Sites, through a series of events which will take on 18 April next, in partnership with the Botanical-Tropical Garden and Santa Maria de Belém Parish Council.
Inspired in the national theme proposed by IPPAR (Portuguese Institute for Architectural Heritage) “Territory; a plural heritage”, an educational workshop will be presented, named “The 7 Wonders of the Palace of Belém”, directed especially towards the younger generation, and which implies prior registration.
The programme also includes guided tours of the Gardens of the Palace of Belém and of the Botanical Tropical Garden (from 10h00 to 12h30 and from 14h00 to 17h30), followed by a lecture on “The Belém Site” addressed by Dr. Isabel Paço d`Arcos, which will be held in the auditorium of the Santa Maria de Belém Parish Council.
