Meeting with Portuguese employed in their areas
Continuing the programme of the Celebrations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic hosted, in Viana do Castelo Municipal Library, a lunch in honour of individualities who achieved distinction in Portugal and abroad in the pursuit of their Professional activities.
On the occasion, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva received from the Mayor of Setúbal – city that hosted, in 2007, the June 10 ceremonies - the rewritten "Os Lusíadas" epic poem, production of which was started during an official act in last year’s celebrations of the National Day of Portugal.
