Meeting with Tony Tan Keng Yam

President Cavaco Silva met President of Singapore

The President of the Republic received military honours in Singapore’s Presidential Palace, after which he held a meeting with his counterpart, Tony Tan Keng Yam.

During the formal ceremonies, the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Singapore presented compliments to the Portuguese Head of State.

A ceremony took place at the end of the meeting, comprising the signature of agreements between the two countries, namely a protocol revising an agreement on double taxation and tax evasion, and a cooperation agreement in the areas of education, science, technology, higher education, culture, art, youth, sports and the media, as well as an agreement on air transport.
