Flower baptized in Singapore

President baptized orchid from Singapore’s Botanical Garden with the name of Maria Cavaco Silva

On the second day of his Official Visit, the President of the Republic visited Singapore’s Botanical Garden where, following local tradition, he baptized an orchid – the national flower – with his wife’s name, Maria Cavaco Silva.

Later, the couple was invited to visit the Garden, where they had a detailed view of the various existing floral species.
