Presidential Meeting

President Cavaco Silva in meetings with his counterpart Guebuza

The President of the Republic commenced his State Visit to Mozambique with a private meeting held his counterpart Armando Guebuza, after which an enlarged meeting took place between the two Heads of State and the deputations of both countries.

After the meeting, the following agreements between Portugal and Mozambique were signed: Framework Programme for Technical-Military Cooperation 2008-2010; Protocol for the Review of the Agreement for Double Taxation Relief and to Prevent Income Tax Evasion; Agreement for the Mutual Recognition of Driving Licenses; and Agreement Relative to the Portuguese School – Learning and Portuguese Language Centre.

The two Presidents later held a Press Conference.
