Day of Handicapped Persons signalled with ceremony and exhibition in Cascais Citadel Palace

The International/European Day of Handicapped Persons will be signalled on 2 December next in the Cascais Citadel Palace, with an allusive session and with the opening, by Mrs. Cavaco Silva, of a plastic arts exhibition.

“A Europe for Everyone” is the discussion theme for the session, organized by the Jacques Delors European Information Centre, at the opening of which Mrs. Cavaco Silva will deliver an address.

Prior to this, Mrs. Cavaco Silva will open a Collective Plastic Arts Exhibition named “United in Diversity by Each ONE’S Rights” of which she is the High Sponsor and was organized by a partnership between the Jacques Delors Centre, the LIGA Foundation, the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic, the Art and Creativity Association of and for Handicapped Persons (ANACED), the Cooperative for the Education and Rehabilitation of Cascais Handicapped Citizens (CERCICA) and the Observatory of Deficiency and Human Rights/ICSP-UL.
