During the State visit to Spain, in which she accompanied the President of the Republic, Mrs. Maria Cavaco Silva was the Queen’s guest in a visit to the National Museum Reyna Sofia Art Centre, in Madrid.



The First Lady’s programme also included visits to the Gaudi and Pablo Picasso exhibitions, in the latter of which the painter’s sketches and his masterpiece “Guernica” were shown. Also included in the visit was the exhibition of the painter and sculptor Manolo Valdés.
