Mrs. Cavaco Silva received, in the Palace of Belém, 50 scholarship students taking part in the Becas Leaders Programme.
Originating from Latin America, Spain and Portugal, these scholars hold political, cultural and entrepreneurial meetings in Lisbon.
Addressed to the best recently graduated students of Latin America, who are invited to aprehend the realities of the European countries included in their visit, the Becas Leaders programme is supported by the Carolina Foundation, presided by the King of Spain, D. Juan Carlos, and has the sponsorship of the Gulbenkian Foundation. In the last few years the programme has included visits to Portugal.
