In the terms of item h) of article no. 133 of the Constitution, the President of the Republic agreed with the proposal presented by the Prime Minister to appoint Dr. Maria Isabel Cabral de Abreu Castelo Branco to the office of Secretary of State for the Treasury.
The President of the Republic will empower the new member of the Government on Monday, 2 September, at 17:00 hours, in the Palace of Belém.
