The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the Family of actor Virgílio Teixeira.

Following is the text of the message addressed by President Aníbal Cavaco Silva:

“When learning of the passing away of Virgílio Teixeira, I wish to address my deepest regrets to the bereaved Family.

Born in Madeira, a Region to which he has always been linked, Virgílio Teixeira was an internationally renowned actor who, through his talent, won the admiration and the affection of several Portuguese generations.
