The President of the Republic addressed to his Russian counterpart, Dmitri Medvedev, a message of condolences over the victims of the accident occurred in Perm.

Following is the text of the message from the President of the Republic:

"Mister President,

I was deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic accident occurred last night in Perm.

In this difficult hour for the People of Russia, I wish to present to Your Excellency, on behalf of the Portuguese people and in my own personal name, our deepest regrets and also beg you, Mister President, to transmit our heartfelt condolences and the expression of our solidarity to the victims’ families.
