Most Reverend Excellency

Having received the news of the passing away of D. Domingos Lam, Bishop Emeritus of Macau, I wish to address Your Most Reverend Excellency, on behalf of the People of Portugal and in my own personal name, our most sincere condolences and request that you equally pass on the mourning family our very deepest regrets.

A great friend of Portugal, D. Domingos Lam served, irreproachably anf for many years all the Community of Macau who, with his disappearance, lose an ineluctable figure of its History and of our time.
