The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the President of the German Federal Republic, regarding the victims of the incident in a school in Albertville.

Following is the text of the President’s message:

"Mister President,

I was deeply shocked and disconsolate when being told of the dreadful incident occurred in the Albertville Secondary School, in Winnenden, in the State of Baden-Württemberg, which resulted in several mortal victims.

I wish to address Your Excellency, on behalf of the people of Portugal and in my own personal name, my deepest regrets, requesting that you should be so kind as to communicate to the victims’ families our most sincere condolences.
