Luis Barreira

President of the Portuguese-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and General Manager of Radio Latina, aged 57

Born in Lisbon, graduated in Sociology, and is an entrepreneur in the business of renovating and implementing new industrial equipment for large Portuguese industrial enterprises, and is the area manager for the largest publishing group in Luxembourg – St. Paul Group.

General Manager of Radio Latina, a national commercial channel, which has a multicultural programme in several languages, but mainly in Portuguese.

He is President of the Portuguese-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, an associative and entrepreneurial institution which he wished could have a more effective role as a link between governmental and entrepreneurial structures of both countries, and with Portuguese Chambers of Commerce around the world, to support and act as leverage for the internationalization of the Portuguese economy.

He endeavours to intervene in various aspects of life in Luxembourg, through his broadcasting and associative activities, in conferences, etc.. And also to provide continuity to the initiatives of several types which he has launched.

He would like to promote the export to Portugal of methodology in organization. Conversely he would import into Luxembourg the Portuguese capacity for creative improvising.
